Hi there,

May I ask which language is set in WP > Settings General, what is the filename of the .mo file that you uploaded, and where (specific folder path) did you upload it to?

Português do Brasil = pt_BR

event_espresso-pt_BR.mo
event_espresso-pt_BR.po

/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages/

Hi there,

Where are you downloading the MO and PO files from?

Note the only file used by your site is the MO file, that’s the machine readable translations.

The PO file is the human readable file you can add/edit translations to using POEdit.

I tested switching to Português do Brasil and the admin translated without a problem – http://take.ms/reBaz

As did the front end – http://take.ms/Opwqz

Which means there is likely an issue with the MO file you are using on your site.

Many thanks for helping Tony.

The problem was that the .mo file was EE3 and not EE4.

Replaces the files and the translation worked out.
