We use the latest version of EE4 4.8.19.p and Yoast SEO version 2.3.5. I find in the Yoast settings how to add a meta description for our Custom Post Type of Events, but how is this done for individual event pages?
I don’t see the Yoast section when editing the events and when sharing on Facebook, the description is showing with quantities and other characters that make it look garbled.

Hi, the meta box for Yoast SEO doesn’t currently appear in the event editor. However, there is a way to specify your own information on a per-event basis.
Set the meta description template for events to use this variable:
%%excerpt%%
http://cl.ly/image/2443400C1b31
Then you can add an information to the excerpt through that event editor and that will be used.

Thanks, that seems to work for the description. However, I was using the Facebook debugger to do a new scrape of the event URL to update and it gives this error….
