I’m having a problem with EE4 where the event times are not showing up correctly in the front end. Back end they’re fine.
I’ve tried searching though the forums and there’s a number of posts about it, but I’m just not making sense of the problem.
In WP 4.3.1 the date/time is set properly to EDT (Toronto).
So there’s clearly something somewhere that’s breaking the time system somehow. Ideally I want everything so show in local time anyway (the one I enter in the back end).
I’ve tried disabling every plugin except EE plugins.
Even though I just installed a few days ago you already have an update to EE4, I’ve done the update. All plug-ins for EE4 are current version.
I’ve tried different browsers.
My novice coding brain (by novice I mean I can copy-pate code where it needs to go sometimes) has reached it’s limit of ability.
I need help.
Would like to start rolling out my festival announcements asap, but obviously need the times displaying correctly first so people know when to show up. LOL.
As it turns out, it was the same issue that has been posted about before in other threads. It was a random get time line of code in the theme file that was corrupting it. I must credit a friend of mine for actually finding the correct file where the code line was though.
I removed that line and everything is great now.
