Hello Folks,

i have a problem with the calculated prices with the latest version of EE4.

I have tickets that have a price of 64 after the tax is added. But if i buy 5 of them the Result is not 320 as it should be but its 319.99 (so following screenshot).

How do if fix this? Seems to be a rounding Problem in combination with the tax.

Link to the Ticket Sell Page:

You have to choose the “Gruppenticket” and then a random Place:

Hi Hojati,

I’m so sorry about this. It turns out this is a limitation that Event Espresso 4 has right now, and I’m not sure there’s an easy fix.

Right now Event Espresso’s price inputs works like this:

You input a base + and a tax amount. As you have seen, this doesn’t always return a whole number price when the two are calculated. Some of this is due to Event Espresso only using a few decimal places for price inputs instead of say, 6 decimal places.

The way forward for the issue you report here that we’re planning adding is a new feature where instead of you inputting a base price and a tax amount, you’ll instead set the final price to be x (or in this case 64), then you set the price modifier amount (in this case a tax amount). Then EE will calculate the base price.

I’ll update this thread when we have something that’s ready to be tested.
