We just received the following error from someone attempting to submit their registration form for an event.
–
The email did not send successfully.
The WordPress wp_mail function is used for sending mails but does not give any useful information when an email fails to send.
It is possible the “to” address (tickets@nightglass.com) or “from” address (tickets@nightglass.com) is invalid.
EE_Email_messenger – _send_message – 454

I did a test to make sure WordPress and/or server could send emails, and it did pass.
What could be the problem? Thanks.

Hi there,
Which specific message type is this for?
Can you see the failed message in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity?
The TO and FROM address look like they are the admin address, have you altered those when posting?

Looking into the Message Activity, this is around the time the error was sent to me. Here is the full error:
Message was not executed successfully.
Messenger and Message Type were valid and active, but the messenger send method failed.
The email did not send successfully.

I also forget to mention the Message Type is Registration Approved.

Ok, so the Registration Approved message type has multiple ‘contexts’ and I’m guessing from your error message it is it the ‘Event Admin’ context that your getting the above error on.
So in your message template, you’ll have a message sent to the registrant and one to the event admin, like this – https://monosnap.com/file/HGJa2VN98pU383ZXOKkbVG02JSEl0s
Which of those (or both) do you get that error on?
