WP Users add-on can't be activated with beta version of EE Core

I have the following version of EE activated: Version 4.11.0.beta.001
I tried to activate Event Espresso – WP Users version: Version 2.0.17.p

I got the following message:

An error has occurred:
We're sorry, but the Event Espresso WP Users Integration addon was deactivated because version 2.1.1.rc.001 or higher is required with this version of Event Espresso core.

Currently, that’s to be expected.

An update for the WP User add-on will be released at the same time as the EE version above.
