Hi! I will start easy… one thing at the time, because I don’t have much time to spend on resolving issues after paying $330 for “out of the box” solution. 1. WP User integration doesn’t register a new user. All this is installed on a clean WP installation and in General -> Settings set to “Anyone can register”. Please, advise. |
|
also… Why does the “steps” show “Login” as the first item, when I haven’t require the user to be logged in for submitting the registration? Makes no sense… |
|
and there’s a not on the Attendee information form saying: Note: Changes made in your Personal Information details will be synced with your user profile. How will the details be synced when there’s no user account created? Why is this even showing up to someone who is not logged in but it’s his/her first time on the site (not registered user yet)? |
|
BTW. all this is showing although I haven’t activated the “Register user upon login” in the admin… Auto Create users with registrations? -> I have it to NO, but still, it shows the note that the user info will be synced + “Login” in steps tabs. |
Hello, Here is feedback on your concerns. The sync notice is coming from this setting in Event Espresso –> Registration Form –> WP User: If you are logged-in, then information will be synced and that will appear. If you are logged-out, then it won’t appear. I verified this on your site by using the information that you provided us via email. I was able to see the issue with the button text and I’ve created a report so we can get that corrected. It appears on the initial view and corrects itself on a refresh. For an interim solution, the text could be changed to something like “Continue with Registration.” Would that help? Login is a past step that would be used if you required login to register. When you register, it should move you directly to step 2 and the login breadcrumb should be greyed-out. On the question about no users being created, if the event is set to not create users, then one will not be created. — |

OK, thank you very much. It makes sense now… It’s because I was logged in with my admin account and testing – that caused some of the unexpected results. You say: For an interim solution, the text could be changed to something like “Continue with Registration.” Question: How can I achieve this? I’ve tried some functions found on this forum, but they didn’t work. I was only able to change the register buttons text. Thank you! … and I apologise for being an a** |
Hello, Could you try uploading and activating this site specific plugin? http://cl.ly/3U333p1U3V1V/site-specific-plugin.php.zip It contains the following which looks for a specific step in registration checkout and then overrides the button text: redacted Thanks — |

Thank you. That worked. Another question: Is there a way for a user to view and edit his/her registration information he/she submitted? Something like “Check your ticket status here” -> link to the something similar to “Thank you” page? |
|
Oh, sorry.. I forgot that this is the part of the WP User integration plugin – no need to answer. Found the instructions in WP User integration documentation. |
|
Oh snap… I need help after all. An error has occurred: Please, advise. |
You’ll see that error when there’s an issue with the current session. General the site admin can trigger this a lot easier than the user themselves. It happens when you open the session for one registration and do not finalize the registration again, so for example if you view a users registration details, then either navigate away or close the browser/tab and open another users registration without clicking to save/update (not it will only happen if you are editing the registration, not viewing it within the admin) Try visiting the registration cancelled page which will be: youdomain.com/registration-cancelled/ Then retry the same steps you did previously, can you edit the information then? |

Hi there, The issue you reported about the button on the “Attendee information” tab was fixed and the fix was included in the Event Espresso 4.8.33.p release. |
