Our site has many users/members, and we have an admin who must often signup these users for our events. WP User Integration says it will pre-populate registration fields for registered users–is there a way for our Admin to get the same convenience?

Hi there,

Currently to do that they would need to use something like the User Switching Plugin to ‘switch’ to that user. Then add the registration on the front end (in which case EE will pull the details for the current user) and then switch back to being an admin.

We do have a feature request for an option to ‘select’ a user and have EE autofil the users details for you in the admin here:

https://trello.com/c/3qDvvRgG/113-wp-user-integration-admin-side-registrations-add-ajaxified-text-field-that-autofills-for-existing-user-accounts

It is not a part of the plugin yet but you are invited to add your vote and any comments you may have on the feature above, however, as we are currently working on other areas it’s unlikely to be added ‘soon’.

It appears that users that have been previously registered for an EE event do NOT have their contact info and other details saved to their user profile. Is there a way to update all user profiles with the data from previous, linked registrations?

Which details are you referring to?

EE will save their details to their EE contact which you can view in Event Espresso -> Registrations -> Contact list.

If users registered onto event before the WP User integration add-on was active on the site, they will still have an ‘EE Contact’ that links their details together, however it will not be linked to the WP Profile account until the register onto an event with the add-on active.

We have WP User Integration on our site, but the details from the registration form (a) do not populate the EE user profile, (b) do not populate the WP user profile, and (c) do not auto-populate when a logged-in user is filling out a new registration form. Please let me know how we can fix this. Thanks.

(a) do not populate the EE user profile

The EE contact data? Which specific fields?

For a registration to work it must be assigned to an EE contact, if thats not working you wont get any registrations at all, so I think we may have some crossed wires here which is why I’m asking for the specific fields.

You can add a screenshot of the page if that’s easier.

(b) do not populate the WP user profile

EE doesn’t populate the WP user profile it’ll update the first name, last name and email address of the user account if the sync feature is enabled but which specific fields are you referring to?

(c) do not auto-populate when a logged-in user is filling out a new registration form

No fields at all? Not even first name, last name and email?
