WP User Integration, An Error Has Occurred

Even though I have turned off WP User integration for Event Espresso (Force Login for registrations? = NO and Auto Create users with registrations? = NO), individuals are getting the following error when they try to sign up for an event.

“An error has occurred: You have entered an email address that matches an existing user account in our system. If this is your email address, please log in before continuing your registration. Otherwise, register with a different email address.”

How can I turn this off. We do not want to require login. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi there,

Are you currently using the User Integration features? If not, then you can deactivate the plugin.

You can disable the user check from above using a snippet of code on the site.

Add this to the site:
