I’m not looking for anything flashy or terribly custom. But I have found that this solution out of the box is WAY overpriced for how difficult it is to get working and set up. I’ve tried it on a few different themes and it just requires more customization or code than I know how to do in order to get simple things aligned or the forms looking professional.
I have posted on Codeable and even pinged a few of the design companies listed here but haven’t heard anything back yet.
If you are interested or know of someone that might be, please let me know. I’m sure it’s not more than a few hours of work for someone that knows what they’re doing and I’m happy to pay a premium to get this done.

Nevermind.
We’re just pulling the plug on this, so to speak. It’s just too much money to not work out of the box and pouring more into a design/dev person to make it just look professional isn’t a smart option for us.

Hi,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having some difficulty with getting set up. May I ask which themes did you try? The reason I ask is because Event Espresso is designed to not interfere with the theme’s styles for layouts & forms. This way, the Event Espresso forms will match other forms & elements on the site.
Where this can fall apart is if the theme doesn’t provide styles for html form elements. We’d be more than happy to review the theme(s) and make recommendations from there. You may not need to pay any additional to get the desired outcome, which seems to be the concern here.
