Not sure how best to handle this, but occasionally registered attendees would prefer not to pay via the internet, and call to pay at the event. I don’t want this to be an option for registration, would I would like to capture this as a status when a registered attendee calls in.
How are others handling this? Would it be possible to add a status button in the payments section to signal ‘Pay at Event?’
It sounds like you’re just trying to communicate the customer’s intention system wide somehow? Or can you get away with making a note on the customer’s account?
The payment status should still be “payment pending” because that is still the case. Changing the registration status would have other implications e.g. sending other messages types, or not sending the right message types when other functionality is introduced, etc.
Hi Garth, yes, was just looking for a way to create a list of attendees who were paying at the event, so that I could alert our checkin team.
Internal need not external need. Unless special messages are created that state registrant has agreed to pay at event with cash, or hand over his first born at the next earliest opportunity.
I don’t think it’s wise to change the registration status, because so many function are tied to each status.
I’d suggest using Admin-only questions instead, where you can track whether the attendee wants pay at the door. That data should show up in the csv report and check-in list.
Ok, I’m fine with that, just wanted to know whether this was a common problem that needed a special status.
