It turns out the calendar on your site is the built-in Calendar Widget that WordPress includes. It displays a calendar of your site’s posts.
If you have installed the Event Espresso Calendar Add-on, and then go to your Widgets page, you can add the Event Espresso Calendar Widget to a Widget area and it will display a calendar with events. Here’s a screenshot that shows the difference between the two widgets in the Widgets screen:
Wow, how silly of me! Thank you very much; didn’t even think that there could be another Calendar widget floating around.
Great! Now I will look through the forums to see how to play around with how the copy displays in the small widget!
