Why charging when reset license key

I keep on getting the same error and although my account is not up for renewal Event Espresso wants to charge me to do a reset. The domain has always been the exact same domain.

The error is below.

You have the correct Support License Key for Event Espresso but your account only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

Hi Godfrey,

We don’t charge for resetting license keys when there’s an error.
