We’re having trouble with the checkout process. After entering credit card info and clicking submit, a white screen occurs. The PHP log shows the following:
[08-May-2017 18:10:37 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function EventEspresso\core\services\formatters\iconv() in /home/hiali/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/services/formatters/Windows1252.php on line 33
We’re running EE 4.9.38.p on PHP 5.6 using Authorize.net. We were previously running PHP 7 but downgraded during our troubleshooting which did not fix the issue. The site was previously working just fine. We did migrate to a newer server not too long ago using cPanel’s transfer tool. Registration for free events works just fine. Hi there,
Can you contact your host and ask them to enable the iconv() PHP function?

That seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you!! How about PHP 7? Can I go back to that or is EE not certified for 7 yet?

Event Espresso works great with PHP 7, but you’ll need to make sure your host has iconv() activated for PHP7.
