Hi guys,

The promotion code add-on has suddenly stopped working?

The error message issued id “We’re sorry, but the promotion code f1e51gt2n1e82b1229e16s2d1f1 could not be applied to any events. You are welcome to try a different promotion code or try this one again to ensure it was entered correctly.”

Settings
Type – Percentage
Amount – -100
Scope – Event
Apply Promo to ALL Scope Items – No
Promo is Exclusive – Yes
Number of Uses – 1
Valid From – date and time entered
Valid Until – date and time entered
Banner Text / Description – data entered
Accepted Message – Accepted
Declined Message – Declined

I have previously used the above settings successfully, but these setting now fail.

Using Event Espresso Promotion Version 1.0.11.p
Event Espresso Version 4.9.46.p
Wordpress 4.8.1

Is there a known issue?

Hi Bob,

With the number of uses set to 1, do you know if the promo code has already been used once?

It was the first time the code was used. I setup the code as a completely new promotion.

Did you assign the promo code to a specific event?

No the promo code was not assigned to a specific event.

Hi there,

The promo code needs to be either assigned to an event or set as a global promotion.

In your original post you have this option:

Apply Promo to ALL Scope Items – No

So it’s not a global promotion, then above you mention it’s not assigned to any event, so right now that promotion code is unusable.

Either change the above to Yes or select the event you are testing the promotion code on within the promotion to allow it to be applied.
