We didn’t get a white screen. The site was working but it was going down every 2 minutes, from the moment we installed the plugin, to the moment we uninstalled it.
It may help to check your error logs, but my hunch is your server isn’t configured to run Event Espresso. I would also recommend installing the Event Espresso requirements check plugin to see if your server meets the minimum requirements to run Event Espresso. If that’s not the case, I can advise trying this on a managed host instead something from Amazon AWS.
