Watching my failed registrations number grow…

Is there any way to get more information about why a registration is marked with a status of “failed”? We just opened sales this morning, and while we had a number of successful registrations, I am watching the failed registrations number grow at what I can only imagine should be an alarming rate…

You can get more information about each transaction by going to Event Espresso > Transactions. Then you click on the transaction in question, then click on view additional transaction session details.

There you’ll see a section that shows Registration Step Progress. Each step has 3 potential phases:
Never Initiated
Initiated
Completed

So for example, one way a Failed Transaction could happen is they selected some tickets on the event page and submitted their ticket selections. That will initiate the Attendee Information step. If they don’t fill out the registration form, then the Attendee Information step’s phase will not update to Completed, and the next step will not have been initiated.
