Hi Susan, It looks like EE could not create a session likely either you sites session.save_path is not set or your site doesn’t have permissions to write to that directory. I would recommend creating a ticket with your hosting provider to have them set this up. |

I too have this warning since updating PHP from 5.3 to 5.4 … Warning: session_start(): open(D:\Temp\php\session\\sess_r2pruuc2haet5u1v1ipktj8q23, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in D:\Hosting\10657435\html\wp-content\plugins\event-espresso-core-reg\core\EE_Session.core.php on line 401 Which directory is EE trying to write to?? |
Hi Debbi, It is usually best to start your own thread and include a link to a similar thread if you’ve found one, it just allows us to work through each individuals issue separately. Even when the issues are similar, server setups and the troubleshooing steps taken can very often be different. EE isn’t trying to write to a directory itself, its starting just starting a session by running the PHP function session_start() which writes a temporary file to your session.save_path directory set within php.ini I would recommend contacting your host and have them check that you session save path is setup correct and you site has permissions to read & write to it. |
