Just uploaded the event-espresso-core-reg.zip plugin, and received about a thousand messages that say:
Warning: posix_getpwuid() has been disabled for security reasons in …./public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 210
Should I be worried?

Hi Francis,
You may need to upload the plugin files via FTP unless your host can configure the server otherwise. Your hosting provider has disabled the function that WordPress uses to manage files when installing and updating plugins. There’s more information about the error in this trac ticket:
