After searching this error in the community, the suggested remedy was to disable Messages in EE and then reenable them. I did as suggested and the message persists.

failed: No such file or directory (2) in <BASE SITE URL>/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php on line 463

Below is the basic System Information:

WordPress Version: 4.7.3

PHP Version: 5.3.29

MySQL Version: 5.6.32

Event Espresso Version: 4.9.33.p

Hi there,

Is that the full error messages?

From the line number it looks like EE is attempting to start a session using session_start() and that is failing, but we need the full error message to be sure.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System Information

Search for session.save_path and see if there is a value set for it, you may need to confirm with your host that your site has the correct permissions to create sessions.
