I have the following setup:
WordPress Version: 3.9.1
PHP Version: 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.15
MySQL Version: 5.5.24
Event Espresso Version:4.2.4.reg
I am using a child theme of Anp’s Move. There are no other plugins activated, except Event Espresso.
When I add the shortcodes:
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”example-training-category-1″]
and
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=”example-training-category-2″]
on the home page – a warning appears:
Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in …./wp-includes/plugin.php on line 303
When using the shortcode only once, there is no warning message.
Any idea what might be wrong?
Thank you for reporting this, I’m not sure why that warning is being thrown but can re-produce this locally so I will create a ticket for the developers to look into it.
Currently if you disable WP_Debug (recommended for production sites) this Warning should no longer be displayed.
Although if the server is also set to display_errors this may also need to be disabled. Is this a production server?
Just wanted to update this post with the latest info.
The developers have found the cause of this and implemented a fix that we are currently testing which, once confirmed, will be included within the next version of EE4.
