As far as my understating still you didn’t develop waiting list, but I want to add this  link http://torontophotographysolutions.com/future-workshop/to this section, where is this section ? and they can send me their information and I contact them for next event for any cancellation

Hello,

We do have a waiting list system. How it works is that an extra event is made at the same time as the normal event and once the normal event reaches maximum, a message is shown to users advising its full, but that they can sign up to the waiting list (the second event you created).

The process on how to do this is:

Create the normal event
Create a secondary event.
In the secondary event change the following: Event Status – Waitlist
Go back to the normal event and change the option Assign a Waitlist Event? to Yes, and then change the Overflow Event: option to the name of the secondary event and then save/update this event.

That’s it. Once the first event becomes full the new option to apply to the waitlist will appear.

If the normal event suddenly gets a drop out, there is no automation to fill it from the waitlist, that is up to the admin to do.

It may be useful here to use the Attendee Reassignment Addon that is available in the Pre Release channel, but bear in mind it is a Beta and there may still be some kinks in it.

I can’t change the status of event from open to waiting list, I don’t have this option, I am using event espresso 3.1.31.3.p Please let me know what should I do?

Hi,

When you edit an event on the right hand side in the Event Options box is the Event Status – it should look like this http://d.pr/i/qFjn

This is somewhat related, how can I change the text of that ‘event full’ message. I want to replace the word ‘event’ with the word ‘show’, plus I really don’t want it telling them how many attendees there are. Thanks!

In answer though, to change wording the best thing to do is follow this guide https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/.

The removal of the available spaces requires a short CSS addition to your themes style.css or a plugin such as My Custom CSS
