We have some classes which do not get a date scheduled until a wait list is filled. Is it possible to create this type of event in EE4? The event would not have a set date and the number of tickets would probably need to be 0 to allow the waitlist add on to work. Is there an easy way to do this? Right now we just use a web form to gather them, but with the EE4 waitlist add on we could gather them and then add them to the class.

Hi,

The wait list add-on isn’t intended to be and cannot be used for this. What you could do instead is set the Default Registration Status to “Not Approved”. This will allow for registration, but the payment step is skipped. If and when a minimum class size is met, the registrations can be switched to “Pending Payment” status, where the registrants will be notified they can now pay for their registration because the class is now on schedule.

How can you add an event without adding a date?

An event does need at least one date, which could be a tentative date. You could even hide the date’s display using CSS.
