When I promote someone from the Wait List to Pending, is there a way to require registration within a certain time frame?
For example, I have issued over 100 refunds lately, due to this virus situation and rescheduling — so, I have promoted 100 people from the Wait List. But if they have changed their mind, it seems like the system is “holding” their spot for them … I want that spot to go back into inventory after X amount of time. That make sense?
Please let me know if this has been considered. As of now, I think the only way is for me to keep track of when I promote them and then manually delete?
Be nice if there was an automatic way – say, give them 72 hours to claim their spot, or they forfeit
There isn’t a way to automatically de-promote promoted wait list registrations.
If you have many wait list registrations, you could send a batch email to all wait list registrations letting them know some spots have opened up. Then they can go to the site and register for the event. This way the first to respond to the email will be able to get first choice and you won’t need to continue to manage wait list registrations.
