I need a volume discount set to: if a user purchases 2 or more tickets they get a 20% discount on the order. So purchasing 2,3,4,5,6,7 and so on would have a discount. I do not want to sell bundles of 2 becasue if someone want 3 they should be able to buy three not 4. How would I do this and if there are any custom functions that will help do this please provide and I will implement that??

Hi Mike,
I’m afraid Event Espresso 4 does not have a volume discounts feature. They’re tracking interest in building a Volume Discounts add-on (similar to the add-on that was built for Event Espresso 3) and you can vote for that feature on its trello card:

that is disappointing. would there be an hooks or function examples that you could publish that would allow this functionality using the functions file in the child theme?
Would discount code allow this functionality for example – enter the code and if there are more than two tickets in the cart then give 20% off?
could ticket bundles be modified to do something similar to this and do you have any examples?

Hi again,
This type of feature would require writing a new plugin from scratch.
Generally speaking, adding function examples to a functions.php file can be useful if it’s a very small change. For example if you needed to change some text, or add a custom message to a specific location. Volume discounts requires much, much more complexity and development time so it’s not achievable by copying & pasting some code into a functions file.
That’s why I recommended contacting a developer.
