I am using EE3 and have volume discounts enabled. Does EE4 now have this capability?

Hi Mike,
Not in the same way that EE3 has.
With EE4 you can have ticket bundles: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-ticket-bundle/
That allows you to set ‘bundles’ of tickets at a discounted price which the user selects, it’s not the same as the EE3 Volume discounts but depending on your use case, may work for your registrations.

I currently have volume discounts set to: if a user purchases 2 or more tickets they get a 20% discount on the order. Is that possible in EE4 and how would I do that?

Not if its more than 1 ticket type.
You can set a bundle ticket with the price already discounted, then set the min ticket qty to 2, and max can be anything but lets say 10.
You then set the discounted price per ticket as the price for that ticket so the user can select 2 or more at the discounted price.
You’d also need another ticket set as full price for single purchases.
Does that make sense?

I think I am following and see your point, but why was volume discounts removed? It seems like a big workaround to get the same result? Are volume discounts going to be included or is ticket bundles the replaced solution?

No features have been removed, EE4 is a completely new system built from the ground up so it takes time to add all of the features EE3 had.
We do have Volume Discounts for the promotions system on our roadmap here:

Right now I can’t say exactly how that would work as planning/development for that feature has not yet started but it will be more like the EE3 version than bundles tickets.
