Everything is calculated properly on the event registration page. You can see the volume discount if you select 2 attendees (if you select 1 attendee, there is no issue on the following page). You can select any # of raffle tickets and it does not affect the results.

Enter the attendee info, and click confirm.

The discounts are all over the place. What causes this?

We had EE3 running, upgraded to EE4, then back to EE3.
WordPress 4.1.1
EE Version 3.1.37.0.P
Multi Events Registration Version 1.0.5.p
Volume Discounts Version 0.5.1

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this. I have no idea what’s happening with it, it’s very odd. I have recreated your set up (as best I can based on the info to hand) and I am getting an error but it’s different to yours.

Can you provide a full breakdown of how you have set up the event/s and the volume discount please? Screenshots would be welcome.

Then I can pass this onto a developer to look into in more detail.

What error are you getting? The set up is super simple. 2 Events ( Casino Night Admission, and a 50/50 Raffle), I use the MER link to add both events to the cart. They select the quantities and hit submit. The events have nothing special added.

Hi, I ran some testing and this may be a bug. However, I did find a workaround.

The discount currently has two conditions that needs to be met. The type of threshold and then the event category.

Could you try adjusting the threshold to check for $130 and let us know if that discount works through the payment overview page?

I selected all categories, discount based on dollar amount, and 30 dollar discount. Still have the error in calculation. That work around would not work anyway. If a single ticket was sold with 10 raffle tickets, they should not get a discount. But they would with that setup.

I tried a few other variations of this and still get the error.

This may help. If you refresh the page while on the Payment Overview, it changes the pricing again…

Hi, there appears to be a bug in one of the threshold matching conditions for the volume discount add-on.

Try these conditions instead of selecting all categories:

Threshold should be 130 or the equivalent amount for two tickets
Set the Casino night for the category

Then save changes.

That is how it is now. Same issue. What is the time frame for big fixes. We need this to be up and running asap.

Hi, I don’t have an estimate on when a fix will be available as the bug ticket was recently created. I will update this support post once I have additional information.

Thanks

We might need to get a refund in that case. We just purchased a EE4 everything license, which didn’t have the ability of the EE3. So we downgraded to EE3 without asking for any refund, and now there is a bug that prevents us from using EE3. We may have to find an alternate solution. We need the site up and running by Tuesday.

I made it work… kind of. I just added a second ticket type, with the discount applied. So it will be an “individual ticket” at $65, or a “ticket package” at $100. Although, it wont show us the total # of attendees (we will have to do that manually).

Thanks

I tested the update. There is still an issue calculating the discount. THe total should be 200 and the payment page shows 200.04. Close…

Hi, could you post the updated quantities of the ticket options that we should test with here?

Ill have to redirect that link to a testing event. That test now links to an actual event that is open for registration. I will put it up shortly

Ok I have set it up with the bug. Buy 2 tickets of Event 1 and 10 Tickets of Event 2. The more tickets you purchase, the larger the error becomes. If you only purchase 2 of each ticket, the total is correct but the discount applies to the events incorrectly. The discount is set to apply to only the Event 1. But it shows it taking discounts off of both Events no matter what you purchase.

Testing Event for EE Bug – Ticket
$8.48 discount per registration
Attendee: Test $56.52 x 2 $113.04
Testing Event 2 for EE Bug – Ticket
$1.30 discount per registration
Attendee: Test $8.70 x 10 $87.00

Sub-Total: $230.00
Total Discounts: -$29.96
Total Amount due: $200.04

The discount is set to apply to only the Event 1.

Hi, is the above condition being handled by Event 1 being in its own category?
