Hi Support

We are getting the following error message when trying to view the transaction details by clicking the cart icon. Appears to effect “incomplete transactions”.

Error = “Error thrown – Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array”
Kind regards Stephen

Hi there,

When you load a transaction in EE it will load any payment objects linked to it and then also the payment methods linked to those.

I had a quick look on your site and can see your using a 3rd party payment method from eWay, if you run a registration and select bank as the payment method, then finalize, do you get the same error?

Hi Tony
It appears to only effect random incomplete transactions prior to mid October 2019.
I can see no pattern to the transactions that cause the error.
I ran a test rego, choosing Bank payment and all worked as expected.

Also, around this time we were using the Mirijeh payment gateway to access Eway before it disappeared. We then switched directly to using the Eway API which appears to work fine.
Could there be a connection there?

Ahhh, ok, yes the issue is due to Mijireh.

As mentioned above EE loads the payment methods related to the transaction and with Mijireh we checked for any additional changes to payments when doing so, as Mijireh has now ceased trading the connection fails and throws an error.

We’ll get this fixed up in the next version of Event Espresso which is due for release this week.

Hi Support

Still same issue. What happened to the update? “We’ll get this fixed up in the next version of Event Espresso which is due for release this week.”
Cheers Stephen

Hi Stephen,

My apologies, the update has been pushed back a little as we found an issue we need to fix before we release. The changes are currently under review and if no further changes are needed will be tested, merged, then released.

As support staff are not available on weekends we won’t push updates Fri-Sun so it will either be today or Monday depending on testing.

The issue is not security related but does need to be addressed before we can push the update live.
