using EE4, multi event and wait list.
After adding to cart, I get a page showing the event and “upcoming”
In order to do anything else I have to hit the back key.
How do I get something on this page that allows me to then either check out or go back to event listing?

Hi there,

Can you link me to an event I can run a test registration on to view this, please?

The above isn’t normal so I can’t say what the problem is without viewing the event/page.

Ok, so there are a few issues with the output on the site.

So first to explain this:

After adding to cart, I get a page showing the event and “upcoming”

The page you are arriving at there is the single event output and you are seeing the event title with a ‘status banner’ which we inject into the_title() for each event (we do have an option to turn that off). That page should have more content than it currently shows, are you using a custom template for EE single events?

Now, on the category page you linked to, the ticket selector should work in a similar way to how it does on the /events/ page in which you select a ticket and it submits using an ajax request and shows a modal rather than redirecting you to the single event page.

Are you using custom templates within your divi child theme for those or just using the divi templates?

I did not do any custom template, just used what the plugin had and added to our menu.

Event Espresso uses your theme to output the events, a lot of the output for the events etc is controlled by the theme itself, we just hook into to the output and add additional event details as needed.

We do have a custom website with other events that may be customized, not sure as I didn’t develop it.

did the previous developer work on it with Event Espresso in use?

Can you let me know what to look for

Within the child theme do you see any examples with espresso in the name?

or if you want a temp login to dev site to see what’s going on?

Generally, we would require a support token to do this as issues caused by the theme are not supported by ourselves.

using Twenty Twenty Two theme

The site you linked me to is not using that theme, it’s using Divi.

So are you testing this on a different site?

Actually, with Divi, IIRC you need to enable blog-style mode.

See: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/known-third-party-plugin-theme-conflicts/#divi

If you enable that option does it work better?

Blog stye mode is already enabled.

Hmm, strange.

Ok, send me temp login details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

It doesn’t matter what email address you use for the account but support[at]eventespresso.com is fine to use.
