Hello guys, I found another bug in EE 5. For some reason, all of the venue information (address, map, contact info) does not show on the venue page unless there is some sort of text in the narrative box provided on the venue setup page. We have a great many venues that do not have text in this box, and they are only showing the featured image. I’m hoping there is a simple fix for this as we have a TON of venue pages.

just an update. We sometimes put a link with restaurants in the area on the venue pages so I went back and tried to do that to the ones missing the information. It did not work until I inserted plain text below the hyperlink. I even tried doing a link with a line (hr) below it and that didn’t work, I had to include plain text in the field in order to get it to work.

Just so I understand, are you referring to the text/description/content area shown here, or some other Narrative box specific to your site or another plugin? https://www.screencast.com/t/HYWH4eVgJ
Can you send me a couple links that illustrate this situation?
– link to a venue page with no content in the description/content area?
– link to a event using that venue

I apologize, I should have been more specific. You are correct, that is the text field I am referring to. Each of the following venues has address information in them as well as the google maps turned on. If I put any sort of plain text in the field we discussed, the missing information shows up.

so to make this more complicated, if you go to the general venue list some of the additional information shows up, but if you use the direct links in just sent you they are not showing. https://thertc.org/venues/
here is an event page with one of the venues and its showing up here, it seams to be isolated to viewing the venue directly? https://thertc.org/events/tactical-drone-loki-mk2-course-12-12-22/
I’m sorry if this is confusing, I’m doing my best to articulate the issue.

Event Espresso attempts to adapt to your theme style and settings. Do you have a setting or function within your theme that has logic to hide posts if the contents area is blank?
Or do you have an opportunity to switch to another theme, a WordPress default theme e.g. twenty twenty-three and try again?
