Using GravityForms So Instructors Can Create 'Event Posts' On The Front-End

This is a very necessary feature I’m looking to add to our website which is powered by event espresso. I have a gravity form setup, so instructors can add events on the front-end, and am trying to have it auto add the post type EE_Event to the post, which would make it show up under event espresso > events in the back-end. That is not what is happening though.. The posts are showing up under general posts in the back-end. Can someone please point me in the right direction or provide info on how do this correctly? It’d be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone had a chance to look into this? It’s fairly urgent that this gets resolved. Thank you.

I’m not at all too familiar with Gravity Forms. You might see if there’s a developer listed on the Pros page that has experience with building out a Gravity Forms/Event Espresso integration to your specifications:
