Hi I am having trouble logging into EE4 App. I changed my password because I thought that was the problem, double checked website URL and User name. Can you help? Thanks Dora

The EE4 App is Event Espresso 4 not the HD app. That is the one for EE3. They are not compatible.

I made that mistake a few months back. The new app is a pic of the coffee cup, the old is an orange ticket in the app store.

The App says Event Espresso 4 and is a coffee cup image in white. But the name of the app when it sits on my mobile underneath the icon says Event Espresso HD

Hi Dora,

The first thing to check is you make sure you have the current version of the Event Espresso 4 plugin activated. There are a few other troubleshooting tips listed here:

I currently have EE4.8.40. How do I get to 4.8.41+? Do you have a link for this?

Hi Dora,

If you activate your license key on the site you’ll be able to automatically update to the latest version.

Your license key is available within your account page (please use the key NOT ending _FREE as that is for the decaf version of EE)

Place that within Event Espresso -> General Settings and then EE can be updated directly within your Dashboard -> Plugins menu.

Ok, so I have the latest version of EE4 and I am able to login. I can see events under “ALL” and “PAST” but it says “No Data Available” for “Today” and “Upcoming.” It does, however show later dates in May in “ALL” but not today’s event. Also is there a way on “ALL” to show upcoming dates first rather than events that are already over?

The way those apps work is they only pull so many events per request, so as you scroll down in the ALL view, when you get to the bottom, you swipe up and it will “lazy load” more events. Eventually all of the events will be loaded up, then when you switch to “Today”, today’s event should be there, as well as upcoming events.

While there isn’t currently a way to show upcoming dates first, there are a few tickets that were sent over to the app developers to address this. Preferably the next version of the app will show the very next upcoming event date, followed by the one after that, when you first view the events list. I’m not sure they knew what they were doing when they built the default view to show the very first event added to the system, which is the way it works now.
