Hello,

I found several threads pertaining to this question, and the answers were always that after the 4.5 release there’d be new documentation. I haven’t seen any of that documentation, so if somebody could help me out it would be outstanding.

Essentially all I want to do is just allow an editor on my site to manage the events. I’m handing the whole site over to this individual and for security reasons they cannot be given an administrator role. I’m REALLY hoping there’s a way around this or I’m going to find myself in a bit of hot water.

Thanks so much for your help and have a great day.

Hi,

The 4.5.0 update extending the capabilities system but there isn’t (currently) an in built system or addon for EE4 to control.

You can however use a membership plugin that controls roles, or a roles editor plugin to give the Editor (or whatever) role the right capabilities.

See here for more info: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/event-espresso-4-roles-permissions/

Thanks so much Dean. I had the User Role Editor installed but wasn’t noticing the custom capabilities section.

Have a good day!
