Hello sir or madam, Sorry for the long list. I know your plugin can do some of these things but its not clear which version of EE has what functionality and what add-ons I would need to purchase on top of it. BI figure I should get the experts advice before starting to install or setting up a plugin. I’ve had it happen too many times that I get half way through a promising product only to find its limitations don’t allow it to match the clients needs. I hope you understand. |
Hi Corey, I’ll break all of your questions down and answer the best I can. EE3 can handle all of your requirements although EE4 handles point 2 a little more elegantly (but does not currently support Member Discounts) 1) Yes this is no problem. 2) This can get complicated depending on exactly how you want this to work. Do you want the attendee to register onto the event and then attendee multiple classes? Or they have the choice of (for example) Tuesday or Thursday? 3) You can add custom questions to the registration form. 4) This would again be a custom question within the registration form. 5) (Currently EE3 only) Event Espresso identifies members as logged in users, you can set a standard price, which is displayed to non logged in users, and a member price which ‘replaces’ the standard price for logged in users. Currently there is only 1 member pricing level, are you looking for multi level member pricing? (certain members see price x whilst others see price y) 6) Confirmation emails are standard within both versions. However confirmation emails have different meanings for different users. What exactly are you looking for within the confirmation email? You can also test drive both EE3 and EE4 using these links: |

In response to question 2.. Thanks so much for the prompt response! Always makes a good first impression. 😉 |

Hi, If class size is not an issue then in EE3 you can do this in one event by adding 2 tickets one for Tue/Thu and the other for Wed/Fri. If class size is important to monitor, then you will probably need to use two separate events for Tue/Thur and Wed/Fri. EE4 will still handle this more elegantly as Tony put it, as we made the whole datetime and tickets section much more flexible, and it can easily be handled in a single event. As Tony suggested, I would also recommend test driving both plugins to get a feel for each one. You can also compare the current feature set of each one here: https://eventespresso.com/differences-ee4-ee3/ |

This gives me a much clearer picture of what to expect. Thank you for answering my questions! “If class size is important to monitor, then you will probably need to use two separate events for Tue/Thur and Wed/Fri.” If the class meets tuesdays and thursdays over a period of months. My start date would be the first day of class. The end date would be the last class months later. The time would be 8-9pm. “If class size is not an issue then in EE3 you can do this in one event by adding 2 tickets one for Tue/Thu and the other for Wed/Fri.” I feel bad having to ask.. but I tried to look through the support forums for some of these answers but they are blocked because I haven’t purchased EE yet. |
Hi, The information could be added through the event editor to the description for the event. Additionally, you could change the name of the name of pricing options to something like this: Classes – Tuesday and Thursday Classes – Wednesday and Friday This is done in the pricing area of the event editor: http://cl.ly/image/402s12333Z2l — |
