Just like the other message types, you could either disable the default (which would disable that message for all events, but likely not what you want) OR create a custom message message template and then disable that template and select that template in that individual event.
That way you have a custom message template for that automated reminders that is disabled, and I would name it Disabled AUEN so that you can use that custom template for other events in the future.
