When I place someone on an event manually they do not become a registered user I have to do this manually.
Am I doing something wrong

Hi there,
When adding registrations through the admin EE does not currently create a user account for them. If you want to use that functionality I recommend adding the registrations via the front end of the site whilst not logged in as the admin.
The reason for this is due to the fact that EE syncs registrations with your WP User account.

Yes but that is my issue it is doing it when done via the user form but not when I submit manually from the back end

apologises I want it to submit to WP User but it is not only for users not through back end

Sorry but both of the above are double negatives so I’m not sure what they mean.
Are you submitting the registrations through the front end of the site and its not generating WP Users?

If a person registers through the front end the system is registering them as a wp-user.
If a person is registered through the back end they are not being registered as a wp-user

Yeah, ok. So that’s expected behaviour.
EE will not add WP users when adding registrations through the admin, if you want to use that functionality you’ll need to add the registration through the front end of the site.

One other thing to keep in mind is you’ll also need to be logged out of the site when add the registration through the front end of the web site. If you’re logged in with your user account when you register for an event, it will sync the registration to your user account.
