Hi there,

I had a user register through another plugin on the site and their username is not their email address. It’s first initial last name. If they are to enroll through the user registration within Event Espresso, will the order be attached to the account or will it make a new account with that email address?

The WP User integration add-on checks for a current user base on the email address provided, if it finds a user account using that email, it does not generate another.

However the registration will only be linked to that WP User if the First Name, Last Name AND Email Address values all match what was given on the registration form OR the ‘sync attendee’ option is enabled which will update the user account with the values provided during the registration.

how could I find out at the meta data/key is associated with particular registration fields on the backend?

I’m not sure I understand this, can you explain further, please?

Multiple registrations through Event Espresso is fine but the add-on will only create a WP User account for the primary registrant unless you are using a custom snippet to create a user for each registration?

I’m a little confused here, if you using a custom function then you have full control over when the user is created and what you want to add to the user account.

I assume you’re using this function?

If so, you have both the WP_User account found/created and the EE_Registration object for the specific registration being processed in that function which allows you to do whatever you need in regard to EE questions and the WP User account.
