User is created in WordPress on registration although reg form option is No

Hello! We use latest wp and EE version.
We do not want wp users to be created on registration, but they are created.
We have selected the NO option for “Default setting for User Creation on Registration.”

Hi there,

I checked on your site and can see you are using the LearnDash add-on, so I assume you are also using the Event Espresso 4 LearnDash integration they created?

If so, then it is that add-on creating users during the registration as I’ve investigated this before, the save user meta for LearnDash when the registration is finalized so always create an account regardless of the EE setting.
