Are there any examples or tutorials for how to use EE4 for Room Booking and Scheduling? I have multiple rooms at 4 locations that get booked through Mon-Fri – not hourly but full day. Capacities vary per week, and sometimes even per day. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Justine,

Event Espresso 4 was built primarily for event management, event registration, and ticket sales. I can recommend looking into solutions that were built primarily for your use case.

Here are a few examples that might be worth checking into:

Do I need to use EE3 then?

Your own sales page says it can be used for bookings. This is why I thought it could be.

Hi Justine,

I think that list item was added because at the time, EE was as good as an option for Room booking. Since then, other options focused solely on Room Booking and Scheduling have been made available/improved.

Hi Josh,

Thankyou for your reply. I have already purchased EE to handle room bookings for my client based on info from the event espresso site. What would you suggest I do? Surely there is a tutorial for using it for this purpose?

Justine

Hi Justine,

I’d suggest trying Event Espresso and the other options out. They have free versions that can be used to evaluate their basic feature set. If you find that one of the options that I mentioned earlier works better for your client, we can process a refund if you fill out this form:

Thank you. I selected a different plugin to handle bookings now. I will fill out the form – but can you let me know where I find my purchase history (transaction number) in my EE login here?

Hi Justine,

That would be your transaction number via PayPal or Authorizenet. That is not stored in your Event Espresso account page. This was sent out as a payment receipt to your email after your purchase was made.

Complete the form to the best of your ability (its okay if some fields are empty/blank) and we will go from there. Thanks!

Lorenzo
