Use EE4 REST API to book tickets and initiate issuing of tickets

Hi there,
I understand we can use the REST API to retrieve event info.
I would like to know if it is possible to use the API to book tickets based on the info and therefore initiate issuing of the tickets.
I would like to load ticketing info into an external app and utilise its own payment system to pay for the ticket. This then initiate a confirmation to EE4 therefore issuing the ticket. Is it possible?
Please let me know. Appreciate your help.

Hi Hody,

It’s possible to read data (events, registrations, tickets, payments, etc.) from the site using the REST API, and it’s also possible to write data to the site via the REST API. The developer documentation has some basic information about the endpoints:
