No, Advanced Manager access isn’t required to use Event Espresso. If you’ve changed any user settings with a plugin like Advanced Manager access, you’ll need to change the settings back. Deleting the plugin will not undo its changes.
Is there anyway you can be a little more specific we don’t want to screw up the entire site by attempting to rid ourselves of this plug in. I see nothing on the internet on how to get rid of the plugin and restore admin defaults.
I’m a bit puzzled why you’re asking about the Advanced Manager access plugin here. We don’t make the Advanced Manager plugin. Have you contacted the author of the Advanced Manager access plugin and asked them?
It’s simple the AAM has altered the Roles of user for Event Espresso and we can’t delete the plugin, and yes, there support is non responsive . Our developer installed the plugin for whatever reason and we can’t get rid of it now.
If the admin role was changed so that some of its capabilities were removed, the capabilities can be added back again by editing the role or user capabilities. Other plugins like Members or User Role Editor can also be used to restore admin capabilities.
The WordPress codex lists out each of the specific capabilities that the admin should have here:
