I am unable to set the country settings under General Settings. Initiall it appears to work OK, but when I navigate away from and back to the ‘Countries’ tab nothing is stored. Because of this people are paying for events in the wrong currency via PayPal (dollars as opposed to pounds). I would be grateful if someone could get back to me as soon as possible to help fix this, as it is causing no end of trouble. Thanks, Nick |

Hi Nick, Are you trying to set the country to the UK? Have you set the UK as the country in the Your Organisation tab? If that does not help, please outline the exact changes you are trying to make. Thanks! |
Hi Dean, Thanks for your swift response. Yes, the issue was caused because I removed the country from the organisation settings. I did this because of strange formatting on the invoice for the postal address, with the country showing before the postcode, as in this image: https://www.dropbox.com/s/njeh6ej2phvzohd/Screenshot%202015-05-21%2011.17.59.png?dl=0 Is there a way of fixing this so that the country shows below the postcode? Also, I can’t see where to set/remove the tax rate for my country. Thanks, Nick |

Hi Nick, I’m looking into the address issue and will get back to you. Regarding the tax rates, use the Pricing menu to set a global tax rate. |
|
OK, the easiest way to fix this on the Invoice/Receipt, is to use the Payee Address field in the Invoice Settings. This can be set to whatever format you like as it is manually input. No need for HTML just hit enter for a line break. |
Thanks Dean, I am not sure how to set a global tax rate such that it will apply to existing events. Please could you add further information. Are we talking about ‘Default Pricing’ or ‘Price Types’, for instance? Nick |

Thanks for the info on setting the Payee Address – that worked fine. Just need to work out how to set the Tax Rate to O, or ideally remove it altogether from invoices. |

Hi, If you edit or make a new event and press the cog icon (settings) for the tickets, you should see a checkbox called “This ticket is taxable”. If that is set, the plugin will use the Regional and/or Federal taxes set in the Pricing menu. If it is not set, no taxes are added. Same with Price Modifiers – they are set at the ticket level. The invoice will show the general tax rate, even if it is not applied. You can remove any default taxes from the Pricing menu > Default Pricing tab, by trashing them. The tax section on the invoice will then be blank: http://take.ms/wBikv |
Hi Dean, I am not seeing that checkbox. Perhaps I am going mad? https://www.dropbox.com/s/8uzdazxrtpvd8mp/Screenshot%202015-05-21%2013.30.42.png?dl=0 Nick |

Well, if you’re going mad I’m right up there with you! Right, so it appears that if there are no taxes in the Pricing page, the taxable checkbox is removed (makes sense). That’s the only reason I can see for it disappearing. |
OK. So I did indeed have to add a Price Type and then use this in a Default Price in order that the checkboxes showed up. All of the checkboxes were unchecked by default, and now there is no tax info showing on invoices, which is what I was aiming for. It doesn’t make sense that I need to add tax rates in order for these not to show on invoices though, so perhaps neither of us are mad, it’s the system? |

That is a little odd, I had no tax at all (thus no checkbox) and it was fine. Perhaps there’s an inconsistency here with how it is meant to work. I’ll look more into it, but I’m glad you got the desired effect! |
