All of my events give the 404 error when they click the Register Now button. This is an example page URL: https://www.paulcalvoschool.net/registration-checkout/page/#checkout
I have updated to the advanced editor and checked the datetimes and tickets and they are correct now, but no one can register for anything. Please help ASAP.
I have put my site in maintenance mode because it’s causing so many calls.

This url is only dynamic based on what people are purchasing or registering for: https://www.paulcalvoschool.net/registration-checkout/page/#checkout
In Maintenance Mode, it’s hard to see what might be the problem. How would you like us to help?

But the URL is not what you said. And I have no idea why. I have taken it out of maintenance mode. I will give you a temporary login link in a pm.

That isn’t the problem, it’s the checkout page that’s 404
Click Register Now on any of the classes

I can get there while logged-in to your site, but not logged-out. Do you know why there is a difference?

Been reading online, and it may be a problem with Beaver Builder. Can you try deactivating Beaver Builder and testing those pages again?

I deactivated Beaver Builder and opened https://www.paulcalvoschool.net/exam-prep-schedule/unlimited-general-contractor-license-west-columbia/? in an incognito window and clicked Register Now, got the same 404 page. Those EE “critical pages” are not using Beaver Builder at all. Only some of the other pages are.

I also activated the Twenty Twenty-three theme and tried it; no luck.

I went to my staging site and rolled it back to legacy editor and tried again, and that didn’t fix it either.

One thing that is confusing me is the url of your registration page.
My registration page looks like this: domain.com/registration-checkout/?uts=1682548002#checkout
Why does registration url have /page/ inside it rather than the uts number?: https://www.paulcalvoschool.net/registration-checkout/page/#checkout

resaving the permalinks did not help. Something is interfering with the checkout process from those category pages.
If I go to the individual event pages, I can proceed to checkout just fine: https://www.paulcalvoschool.net/exam-prep-schedule/sc-residential-contractors-license-west-columbia/

I got it!
Your last question about the ?uts reminded me that Yoast Premium has some new settings:
Optimize Google Analytics utm tracking parameters
Replaces utm tracking parameters with the (more performant) # equivalent, via a 301 redirect.
Remove unregistered URL parameters
Removes unknown URL parameters via a 301 redirect.
I deselected them both, but I guess it’s only the 2nd one that was the problem? There is a place to allow additional URL parameters, what would I put there? ?uts= or the whole number after?

Glad you found it. Be very careful with those types of site-wide settings.
The uts number is dynamic so you cannot put a specific number there, but you might be able to use add “uts” to the second option. But you’ll have to try it and test.

Thank you so much. I’ll just shut it off for now. I’ve got to get everything updated with new classes and it’s been down all day so better to leave well enough alone.
