what’s the preferred method of upgrading? Should I upgrade to 3.5 first, and then initiate the EE upgrade or vice versa?

Hi there,

Event Espresso 3.1.29.1 will run fine on WP 3.4.2, so I would recommend updating Event Espresso first.

I’m running 3.3.2…

Event Espresso 3.1.29 requires WP 3.3 or higher.

If I was going to update a live site that hadn’t been updated in a while, I’d clone the site (database and files) onto another installation and run the updates there first. You will also want to pay attention to the known issues with updating to WP 3.5:
