Hello, I have a license, but have not entered the registration key yet, because I think I recall reading that it’s suggested to wait until we are on the live URL to do that. However, I would like to be up and running with the latest version of EE4 before I launch. How can I go about upgrading without losing what I’ve done so far? I know it’s hard for you to answer that without knowing EXACTLY what I did. I realize there’s a risk of losing some work but I also prefer not to have to remove the old version and upgrade. I’d like to be able to upgrade it as a plugin. How do I do that without first setting the support key on our development site. We’ll be going live in less than a week if the upgrade goes ok. |
Hi, if the site isn’t activated, then you would need to manually update by removing the plugin and uploading and activating the latest version via WordPress Plugins: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/#update_manually The process between a manual upgrade and a one-click upgrade is similar in that the core plugin folder is removed and replaced. Did you make any changes to the core plugin folder here? /wp-content/event-espresso-core-reg — |

Thank you for your response Lorenzo. Warning: usort() expects parameter 2 to be a valid callback, no array or string given in /home/tsamac/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/admin/new/pricing/espresso_events_Pricing_Hooks.class.php on line 705 Any thoughts on that? |
Hi Mike, I’m not seeing that warning appear on my testing sites: http://cl.ly/image/3V281m0W1O09 Do you have WordPress debugging on? If so, could you turn that off via your wp-config.php file by using this macro (should replace any existing debugging macros) in this link? https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/848801a1173be464fbe7#comment-1239850 — |

I do not have debugging turned on. |
Hi, PHP warnings and notices will appear if some form of debugging is enabled. Did you try updating the macro in the wp-config.php file? — |
