We are currently on EE 3.1.36. We need a feature to have the question type as date chooser and I came to know this will be available in 3.2 which is now renamed as version 4.0. We have a question regarding upgrading to 4.0. We currently integrate EE with our CRM system by directly querying the EE back-end mysql tables. If we upgrade to 4.0, are there major changes to the table structures which would require us to rewrite our integration?

Hi Isha,
Event Espresso 4 does have date selector as a question type. It was completely rewritten and is the successor to EE3. The database tables are different so you would need to update your custom queries.
We recommend duplicating a copy of your existing site into a dev/staging site. Then install Event Espresso 4 which is available from your account page:

From here, deactivate Event Espresso 3 and activate EE4. You’ll be prompted to migrate. Then you can take a look at the existing tables and the new tables in the database through a tool like PHPMyAdmin.
