Hello,

What version were you running before?

What specifically is not working during registration checkout and are there any error messages?

Critical Pages still shows green. Not sure what version I had before. This is the first upgrade since I purchased a couple weeks ago.

This is now on top of my admin site: Unable to setup automatic updates for the plugin with the slug “Array” because it’s running an old version of the code used for updates. To get the new code please update this plugin manually.

Hi,

It sounds like the update may not have completed. Please try a reinstall of your software.

Part 1)

Begin by backing up your WordPress:

https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups

Next, download the latest version of your Event Espresso software (core plugin and any addons) from your account:

https://eventespresso.com/users/stephenpearson/

Part 2)

Now login to your WordPress admin and go to Plugins. Locate Event Espresso and any addons in the list of plugins and remove them.

Then from the Plugins screen in the WordPress admin and click on Add New –> Upload. Then browse to the zip file that you downloaded from your account. Select it and begin the upload process.

You can activate the plugin after it has finished uploading.

Repeat the steps for part 2 above for each plugin until all plugins for Event Espresso have been reinstalled.

@Stephen, The notice you’re seeing that says “Unable to setup automatic updates for the plugin with the slug “Array” because it’s running an old version of the code used for updates.” means that you have an older version of an Event Espresso add-on active that needs to be updated.

For example if you have the Events Table template version 1.0 active, you’ll need to update to the current version.

Before trying a re-install, it may help to re-save the checkout page in the page editor. If that does not help, you could also try temporarily switching to the default WP theme and deactivating all non Event Espresso plugins.

Okay I tried going to the WP default. That did not work then I deleted Espresso downloaded the latest version and installed it without any errors. Activated the plugin. Went to the critical pages and made sure all was green. Viewed all the pages all appear to work accept the checkout page.

I deleted the page and recreated a new page and added the shortcode on it and now it works.

The event table update fixed the error at the top of the page. I also thik that the motopress editor does something to the code as well preventing it from running.

Hi, Motopress looks like a content editor for the WP pages and posts.

Does it add any html tags around the shortcodes?

That could cause some issues.

Not that I can tell. If I copy the text from the saved motopress page and put it in a new document and save that document the Espresso shortcodes work fine. If I save the page with Espresso shortcodes on it and dont copy them to a new page then the Espresso codes do not work. I have other codes that work fine such as the register shortcode etc.

Hi Stephen,

Motopress is causing the shortcode not to parse.

I don’t normally use Motopress but installed it on a test site and used a theme available from themselves to test. All works fine until you update the page via Motopress and then the shortode will no longer parse.

You’ll need to use the standard WP Editor to create a new checkout page, insert the shortcode and then not update that page using Motopress in order for EE to work.
