Hi all! I stopped by to see if anybody had noted any incompatibilities with WordPress 4.0 before I upgraded ours, and I found a post that said everything should be working fine but that we should make sure to update to 3.1.37 when it comes out. That sent me back over to my plugins page, and I just noticed that the automatic updater for EE isn’t working. It’s giving me this message:
“A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.”
But my account page here indicates that the support license key is active on the correct (and only) domain.
That error message appears only on the “main” plugin — I was able to update the API and Calendar plugins.
No urgency (until you release 3.1.37, that is!), but I was curious if you have any insights into this error message.
Thanks!
I reset your licence key to resolve the update issue.
Regarding your initial query, there are no specific incompatibilities with EE4, but you may need to be a little bit more precise (e.g with a theme, plugins, etc).
Please note though that EE4 is vastly different to EE3 and EE3 plugins will NOT work with EE4. Also the feature set is currently different: https://eventespresso.com/differences-ee4-ee3/
3.1.36.6 was pushed out early as it addresses an issue related to iCal.
The current version of Event Espresso 3 and 4 are compatible with WP 4.0.
