After I did an update on EE in WordPress a little while ago, I noticed that all of my events (that have a price to them) automatically changed to $1.00. I since changed the prices back, but when I go in to update my event (any part of it) and press “Update”, it changes the price to a single digit price (ie: if my event costs $1240.00, after pressing the “Update” button, it automatically changes the cost to $1.00). Is this something that I can fix on my end, or is this something that needs to be updated on yours?
It’s very frustrating to know that any time I press “update” (or even when I create a new event), the cost of the event will change to $1.00.
The issue is the comma in the $1,240 that is inserted when the event editor is loaded, and misparsed when the event is saved. We have fixed it in the 4.5 version, which is available now in the pre-release section of your account page. If you want to stay on 4.4.5 until 4.5 is officially released, you’ll have to delete the comma from the price before you re-save the event.
Thanks, Josh! I will go ahead and update. Will it change all of my prices for the events that I already do have? The last time I had updated, it changed every single price of mine to $1.00. Just wanting to make sure of this!
It depends on what’s stored for prices in the database right now. If the price in the database is correct, it should also display them correctly after the update. The issue where the comma would be added automatically, then the price would change with that added comma has been fixed.
