If the wordpress version I am using is not the most up-to-date version could it affect how event espresso runs? I have noticed that I get a lot of server error messages and it is only on the site that i am using event espresso.. If I do not have the newest version of wordpress could it affect how event epsresso runs?

Hi Josh,
Yes, EE is designed to be compatible with the most recent security and feature updates of WordPress. EE4 is specifically designed for WordPress 3.8.1+ because it has a certain icon set that is used throughout the pages.
If you’re using EE3 it is a little more forgiving, but we still recommending staying up to date with at least the major point releases e.g. WordPress 3.x.
Does that help? EE is not the only reason why you should stay up-to-date with WordPress.
